Membership Benefits

Becoming responsible for our own actions and encouraging others to do the same is a challenge. The Williams Lake Environmental Society offers a forum where we can learn from each other and hold each other accountable.
We encourage others through outreach and education in our community.
Membership in the Williams Lake Environmental Society also offers connections.
We are members of:

  • British Columbia Environmental Network
  • Cariboo Chilcotin Conservation Society

We are in periodic contact with other groups having similar interests in the region.

Meetings

Meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month, September through June. Meetings are held at the Marie Sharpe Elementary School in Williams Lake, beginning at 7 p.m.

Planned Activities

We will take on new projects as opportunities and volunteers/members present. We will continue to work on air shed management, solid waste management and municipal green space issues.
